Because the storage on Sandpiper is quite ample, the tendency to just put something in a locker or closet is too easy. Now that we have owned the vessel for 17 years, some purging is needed. Just as I was trying to complete this list, I realized we had not opened the large, cavernous locker at the stern of the boat: Fortress FX16 and FX20 anchors, Garhauer dinghy motor lift, spare fenders, emergency tiller, fender storage bags for deck, mast climbing gear, and bosun’s chair. Then the dinghy plus 15-hp Yamaha, SSB and watermaker! Whew! Wait, beach chairs!!!!! This is why we cruise:
